Engineering Certifications
Most lenders both conventional and FHA require that any
home they finance is required to meet HUD standards. This includes verification that the home is properly "Tied Down". We work with an Arizona licensed Engineer, who has extensive knowledge in manufactured homes, who will provide the required certification that the lenders need in order to fund the loan.
Get Certified | Meeting Lender Requirements For Financing
When buying or refinancing a manufactured home, most lenders require an engineering certification to approve financing. This certification, issued by a licensed engineer, confirms the home meets U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standards for safety and structural integrity.
The inspection covers key areas such as the foundation, load‑bearing structures, and tie‑down systems—critical for stability, especially in severe weather. It ensures any additions or modifications do not compromise the home’s original design and that the property is securely anchored.
For lenders, the certificate is proof the home is a sound investment. For homeowners, it’s peace of mind that their property is safe, compliant, and built to last. Partnering with a provider who works directly with licensed engineers streamlines the process, making financing smoother and protecting your investment for years to come.
